Practicing sports, a fundamental right for people with disabilities.

Press release - New! The West Shefford Brewing Company and the Adaptive Sports Foundation join forces to present the West Shefford-ASF Golf Classic.

Bromont, July 22, 2021 - The Adaptive Sports Foundation and The West Shefford Brewing Company are pleased to announce that they are joining forces to present a unique golf tournament, for which all of the proceeds will be donated to the Adaptive Sports Foundation in order to help finance its sports activities for people with physical disabilities. This new formula will take place on Wednesday, September 15 at Le Parcours du Vieux Village golf club in Bromont.

Mr. Nicolas Robillard from The West Shefford Brewing Company and Mr. Steve Charbonneau, Director of the Adaptive Sports Foundation invite citizens and businesses to take part in this annual event and to help reach the goal of $40,000.

For this edition, the organizing committee is proud to announce a new innovative virtual auction application allowing golfers to bid on a multitude of prizes from their portable device throughout the tournament.

Note that, since 1995, the Adaptive Sports Foundation has encouraged thousands of people with functional limitations to come out of isolation and encouraged them to socialize and regain self-confidence.

To participate in the golf tournament, all you have to do is complete the online form available on the Adaptive Sports Foundation’s website: www.sportsadaptes.ca

The deadline to register is Friday, September 10, 2021.

  • “We have doubled our efforts to offer a great event that will help the ASF which could not hold its tournament last year due to the health restrictions in force at that time. Today, we are happy to be able to organize this tournament jointly with Les Brasseurs West Shefford in order to increase the money raised and we hope to reach our goal of $40,000.” - Steve Charbonneau.

  • “I invite people to participate in large numbers and help the Adaptive Sports Foundation to pursue this wonderful mission, which is to enable people with disabilities to play outdoor sports.” Nicolas Robillard.

The price per golfer is $225 and for an extra $25 players can also purchase a "Games & Contests" card which will give them the opportunity to participate in 5 games or contests during the day. Note that the drinks and the various tasting stations on the course are free during the tournament.

A portion of the registration fee is eligible for a tax receipt. This amount will be communicated to participants after the tournament.
